Recent Events...

March 29, 2008:

The whole family recently attended the 2nd National Epilepsy walk in Washington DC. We joined three other Dravet families and relatives to walk together in an effort to support the epilepsy cause and to raise awareness for Dravet Syndrome. In total, there were over 50 people in our group including both sets of Christopher's grandparents! Connor walked the entire way and was able to appreciate the cause. People with epilepsy wore purple shirts while supporters wore white. Casey reminded us that for the Salisbury walk he would need a stroller. Callie and Christopher were happy to people watch and stay warm under the blanket in the stroller. We were extra lucky to have the kite festival and cherry blossoms in full bloom. The boys will tell you the highlight of the event was the group picnic, lacrosse game and kite flying on the mall after the walk. We met a family with a seizure response dog from the "4 Paws" agency and were given some good tips to remember for our two week training session. We are now even more excited about the dog!
