We hope to give you information about Dravet syndrome, epilepsy
and most
importantly our
courageous son, Christopher.
Through the proceeds from a 5K
race held in May of 2008, our community helped raise the
funds needed to obtain a seizure response dog for our son
Christopher. The support from our community was so
overwhelming that the Mull family decided to hold the race
again in 2009 to support a local project. The Everybody
Playspace at Pinehurst Elementary School was a worthy cause
and benefited disabled children like Christopher.
In 2010 and for future years
the Mull family has generously handed Kindness of Strangers
the Courageous Christopher 5K Run, Walk & Stroller Strut.
Please come run or walk along side of Christopher and his
seizure dog "BO" as we continue to raise awareness for
Dravet Syndrome and pull together as a community to make the
lives of disabled children a little easier.
Kindness of Strangers is a fund that assists families in
purchasing therapeutic and/or adaptive equipment for their
children with special needs. The fund began four years ago
out of a desire to help a young boy with cerebral palsy get
a tricycle funded in order for him to ride with his peers.
The Red Knights were contacted for support and decided to
totally fund the $4,000.00 bike. They encouraged us to take
the proceeds from that first golf tournament and "pay it
forward".
